Forward Progress Arts & Entertainment Center Inc

Forward Progress Arts & Entertainment Center, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) organization designed to facilitate young people who have a desire to work in the Entertainment Industry. We offer programs that are structured to improve, develop and cultivate their God given gifts and talents; by encouraging authentic collaboration to produce professional movies, music, stage plays, videos, television shows and/or web series.

Patsy Whitfield is the Board President of Forward Progress Arts & Entertainment Center, Inc. She is the Founder of Another Open Door Production Company and an Award winning filmmaker. She also founded the InDept Arts & Film Festival of San Antonio.  Patsy’s communication and networking skills, as well as her influence in the Entertainment Industry will serve our young adults by her many community and professional partnerships. She is employed full-time for the Texas Workforce Commission. Ms. Whitfield is responsible for overall management of the organization, coordinating activities, networking with other organizations, and establishing collaborating partnerships.

Nevetta King is the Board Secretary of Forward Progress Arts & Entertainment Center, Inc. She is currently furthering her education at the University of Phoenix, while working full time as a Therapeutic Director for St. Jude’s Children Ranch. Also; she is working with various organizations and ministries throughout San Antonio where she specializes in youth services and forging collaborative efforts with other ministries.  Nevetta’s insight and wisdom allows her to encourage and guide the Arrows when needed.

Jade Turner is the Board Treasure for Forward Progress Arts and Entertainment Center, Inc. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a BA in Communication Studies. Jade has served as an administrative assistant, production assistant, talent coordinator, and camera operator on various FwdProgress productions. Her ability to see the big picture and keep everyone on task makes her a real asset to this organization; as well as her ability to stay rational amongst dreamers.  Jade also co-wrote and received our first grant that helped FwdProgress conduct a community summer program, “Rising Stars” where she served as the Character Development Coach.
